Its back!!
After a long summer the footy is finally back and the has been plenty of previews passing through the Football Filter.
THE TELEGRAPH previews the opening Premier League weekend while JUST FOOTBALL gives us a team-by-team season preview, very handy.
However THE GUARDIAN puts a dampener on the new season excitement by suggesting the new year has a feeling of normality about it already. Spoil sports.
The first managerial casualty has already emerged. Norwich boss Bryan Gunn has been given the boot after just ONE league game! Ok it was a 7-1 defeat at home to Colchester but why give Gunn a whole pre-season and allow him to bring his players in if you won’t even given him a few games to get going?? Anyway an article at WHEN SATURDAY COMES, written the day before Gunn got the boot, picks through the wreckage that was the Canaries disastrous start to the season. As D-ream said: Things can only get better….
